|
July 26 2004: In advance of these hitting the market,
I got a couple of prototypes from Palisade I figured I'd show off. (Looking at these, I'm very excited about this new line) |

Li'l V![]() This Li’l V sample is what is known internally as a “First Shot”, which basically means it is the first sample sent to us for review by the factory. Typically First Shots require the most “de-bugging”, or revisions to the steel molds, and first shots are generally the rarest from the pre-production process. In fact, most collectors of prototypes consider this stage of production to be the most unique, particularly because of some of the odd colors the plastics are injected in and the large amount of “problems” remaining to be fixed in the molds. However, since the painted samples do not show off the odd plastic colors, it is important to note that Painted First Shots often still have all the weird pre-“debug” characteristics that First Shot Samples have and connoisseurs of this kid of prototype enjoy. |
